SUMMARY:Kids Sunday fun at the EPO
DESCRIPTION:The Amicale Kids organizes on Sunday a sports camp from 14h00-16h00. The children will enjoy a variety of sports activities. During this timeslot\, parents can use the rest of the amazing EPO clubs facilities (Tennis\, Squash\, Woodworking\, … if you are in these clubs)\, go the EPO gym or simply relax while drinking a coffee. \nThe camps are only for kids from 6 to 11 years old and are overseen by professionals educators (club samedis malins) in English/Dutch/French. Registration is compulsory. The event is free but if you cancel under one week to the event or not attend\, you will be required a contribution of 12€ per children. NB in such cases we invite you to find a replacement for your kid.  \nNB: This year you will need to CREATE AN ACCOUNT and login to use our new modern event tool (see user registration page)\, this way you’ll be able to have an overview of all your registrations (see my bookings page).

We are currently in a transition phase. \n  \n  \nThe Dutch Open Air Museum covers an area of around 44 hectares and is full of all kinds of authentic\, unusual buildings. Each of these has its own fascinating history and an interesting story to tell. A unique collection of historic buildings from across the Netherlands. From a drainage mill to a dairy factory. Fancy visiting the buildings on Zaan Square? Or maybe taking a look inside the paper mill? Perhaps you’ll call in to see the farmer’s wife at work in the farmhouse from Varik? \n \nProgramme: \n09:00 Departure by bus from the Office to Arnhem \n10:30 – 12:00 Guided tour in Dutch\, German\, French or English (min. 10 people per language) \n12:00 – 13:00 Lunch at the Kasteelboerderij \n13:00 – 16:30 Free to discover the park including \nThe Canon of Dutch History \nThe playground \nor\, optional\, join the archery or “beugelen” activity between 13:15 – 14:45 hours \n16:30 Departure by bus back to Rijswijk \n  \n  \nPlease note\, everyone joining the event needs to register for an entrance ticket. SUMMARY:Woodturning workshops in JUNE - please register before 15th of March
DESCRIPTION:Core course (two options: either Friday 21th or Saturday 22th June)\nDuring this day you will learn the basics of woodturning; what is a lathe\, how does it work\, use of different speeds\, safety measures\, which wood works best on the lathe\,  which chisels to use for what\, how to clamp the wood piece in for the different steps\,  rounding the wood piece and hollowing it out to make a bowl. \nprice 100€ (reduced price very kindly subsidized by the Amicale) Location Arnhem\nAfter your registered\, please wire the 100€ via https://www.bunq.me/woodpecker2 \nAdvanced course woodturning: turning a bowl out of wet wood (Sunday 23rd June)\nContinuing on the basic course\, this workshop focusses on turning wet wood (non dried wood) into a bowl.  This is normally a two day course in which the wet bowl will be allowed to dry for a month and then the final shape given on the lathe. The course was “compacted” into a one day course.
